Driving safely begins with maintaining your vehicle, keeping up with emissions, and being sure that you are legally insured and licensed. To be on the road, these are the basics, but often people decide that their experience as a driver can overcome anything. In particular, driving while impaired.

Any level of impairment makes your driving more dangerous. As your mind becomes more high or drunk, the lower your inhibitions become, eventually causing you to believe that your driving will be fine. This is a sure sign of your impairment.

Over time drinkers become more comfortable with the way they drive on drugs or alcohol, but this is only a feeling, not the actual truth. In reality, not being able to drive is about the brain being able to react to events as fast as they happen.

So please find a designated driver and do not drive while on anything that alters your mind state. Thank you, and please remember this safe driving lesson.
