Performance
The latest Defender luxury SUV lineup offers a wide range of powertrain options, with five total engines to choose from. The Defender 90 and 110 come with a base turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, known as the P300 powertrain. Total output for the P300 is 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, pairing with an 8-speed automatic transmission and offering standard All-Wheel Drive.
For the Defender 130, the base P300 powertrain is a turbocharged 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with mild hybrid technology, offering up to 296 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque.
For increased performance, the Defender is available with a mid-range P400 powertrain, which is available for the Defender 90, 110, and 130. This engine is a high-output version of the turbo 3.0-liter 6-cylinder mild hybrid, producing up to 395 hp and 406 lb-ft.
The high-performance P500 powertrain is available for the 110 and 130, a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with up to 493 hp and 450 lb-ft, while the range-topping P525 gives the Defender 90 and 110 up to 518 hp and 461 lb-ft.
Design
The Defender lineup offers three unique body styles. The Defender 90 is a compact two-door luxury SUV, seating up to five passengers. The Defender 110 is a two-row, four-door luxury SUV, while the Defender 130 is a three-row, four-door luxury SUV.
All Defender models come with stylish LED headlights and taillights, integrated fog lights, standard 19-inch alloy wheels, a two-speed transfer case, and integrated roof rails. On the inside, a panoramic sliding roof is standard, along with keyless entry/start, dual-zone automatic climate controls, 12-way power-adjustable heated front seats, and leather upholstery. Available cabin features include ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, heated rear seats, and three-zone automatic climate controls.
Technology
The Defender S comes with an 11.4-inch infotainment display, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto controls. A wireless smartphone charging pad offers a signal booster, while a 10-speaker Meridian sound system gives you premium audio quality. Satellite/HD radio, remote controls via your smartphone, and a digital instrument panel are also standard.
Available tech add-ons for Defender SUVs include a 15-speaker Meridian audio system, a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display, and upgraded ambient lighting.
